Marathon to expand Findlay headquarters

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) has decided to embark on a multi-year project to expand and enhance its corporate offices in Findlay.

FINDLAY — Marathon Petroleum Corp. has secured city approval to build a five-story, 800-spot parking garage downtown just north of its headquarters building.

The garage is the first phase of an $80 million expansion Marathon plans for its headquarters campus.

The new garage will be built over an existing surface parking lot. Marathon plans to connect the structure via overhead walkways to its marketing building and a yet-to-be-built, 45,000-square-foot service building.

The company also plans to build a new 120,000-square-foot office building and a second, 1,200-spot parking garage immediately to the south of its main headquarters building.

Marathon has about 1,900 employees at its Findlay location. The company expects to add 150 jobs in the near future.
