Michigan hospital now a part of ProMedica

COLDWATER, Mich. — Community Health Center of Branch County, Mich. has officially joined ProMedica and will now be called ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.

The transaction officially closed Jan. 1 and the agreement includes a Branch County-area board of trustees with redefined governance authority.

“We are pleased to welcome the Community Health Center of Branch County to ProMedica,” Randy Oostra, president and CEO of ProMedica, said in a statement. “From the beginning, it was clear that our organizations share similar values and a strong commitment to strengthening our communities. We look forward to working together to further enhance the quality of healthcare services and build on the hospital’s long-standing commitment to the residents of Branch County.”

Randy DeGroot, president and CEO of the not-for-profit ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital said the partnership enhances the facility’s ability to provide the best care for the Coldwater community. The hospital has 87 beds, more than 600 employees, and 190 physicians.
