CNN to Comedy Central: election coverage for every taste

Election coverage won't be hard to find on TV tonight. Even Fox is going all-news at 8 p.m. (simulcast with its cable Fox News Channel).

CNN starts all-day coverage at 7 a.m. Larry King Live at 9 p.m. will interrupt CNN's continuous election results.

ABC and its affiliates get a jump on other broadcasters by starting reports on national and local races at 6:30 p.m.

CBS and NBC affiliates go live at 7 p.m., after local newscasts.

C-SPAN provides no-frills looks at national and local results at 8 p.m.

PBS goes live at 10 p.m.

Comedy Central telecasts a live election edition of The Daily Show, co-hosted by Jon Stewart and Bob Dole, at 10 p.m.

Spanish-language Univision presents Noche de Elecciones at 10 p.m.

Most networks are scheduled to stay with presidential election reports until a winner is determined, which could be in the wee hours.

Best bets on radio are WSPD-AM (1370), which will have reporters at various locations locally, and National Public Radio's continuous election reporting starting at 7 p.m. on WUOM-FM, 91.7, Ann Arbor. The Toledo NPR affiliate, WGTE-FM, 90.7, will maintain its music schedule.
