BOWLING GREEN - A rural Bowling Green man was arrested yesterday by Wood County sheriff's deputies called to his home by a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots.

Salvador Cantero, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct with persistence while intoxicated, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sgt. Major Mike Blair said deputies were called to Mr. Cantero's home on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the remains of a party. The individuals were searched for weapons, and Mr. Cantero allegedly became angry when he was padded down by a deputy.

Three guns were confiscated for safekeeping, although it was not determined whether any shots were fired, Sergeant Blair said.
