Jimmy Carter president of Wood County panel

BOWLING GREEN - Jimmy Carter is still president in Wood County.

Mr. Carter of Grand Rapids was re-elected president of the Wood County board of commissioners yesterday at the commissioners' annual organizational meeting. Commissioner Alvie Perkins of Bowling Green was elected vice president.

The board meets each Tuesday and Thursday on the fifth floor of the county office building. Members of the public can address the board following regular business.

Also yesterday, Wood County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge David Woessner reappointed Dorthea Barker of Bowling Green to the county board of park commissioners for a term that will run through 2003.
