Man injured after driving car onto railroad track

KUNKLE, Ohio - A Kentucky man was in fair condition after he drove his car onto the Norfolk & Southern Railroad tracks near here and struck a railroad car stop iron, Williams County deputies said yesterday.

Jason Willitzer, 22, of Newport, Ky., was taken to Williams County Community Hospital in Bryan following the 11:40 p.m. collision Saturday.

Deputies said they do not know why the man pulled off of County Road O and onto the tracks, but they said charges were pending upon completion of their investigation.
