FINDLAY -- More than $215,000 has been raised to build the Fort Findlay Playground at Emory Adams Park, officials announced yesterday.

The 20,000-square-foot playground was designed with input from local children. It is to be constructed April 17-22 by an estimated 2,100 volunteers.

Tony Price, chairman of the project, said volunteers and tools are needed for the construction bonanza.

“There is something for both young and old, skilled and unskilled to do,” he said.

Other cities in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan have been building similar playgrounds with community support.
