"Pokemon 2000" Odyssey, July 24, 1:30 p.m. ONLY

Join Ash, Pikachu, and friends as they battle a Pokemon trainer whose quest to capture three rare birds threatens to destroy the world. This G-rated movie is 89 minutes in length. Registration begins July 17.

Storytelling Odyssey, July 31, 7 p.m. ONLY

Members of summer reading club and their families are invited to hear story-

To celebrate our new library, the whole family is invited to a free showing of "The Tigger Movie". Summer Gardening Odyssey Kick-off, June 11, 2 p.m.

Bring your own flowerpot and decorative stone and take home a patio planter. This program will be held at Southview Horticultural Center. Meet at the tennis courts. Open to kids in 3 - 8 grades. Registration is limited and begins June 4.

A creative dramatics program presented by the Children's Theatre Workshop will introduce you to improvisation and mime. Registration is required. Limited space is available.

Juggling Jamboree Odyssey, June 27, 2 p.m.

See Toledo's finest juggler, George Sanzenbacher, practice his craft. Please bring three tennis balls and see if you can master the art of juggling. Registration is required. Limited space is available.

Painting Madness Odyssey, July 11, 2 p.m.

Bring a pre-washed T-shirt (no fabric softener) or white canvas tennis shoes and three bottles of fabric paint (no black). You will create something you will love to wear. Dress for mess and bring a large box to carry your project home. Registration is required. Limited space is available.

Lego Contest, July 18, 2 p.m.

Join the 8th annual Lego Contest. Bring your own Legos from home. You will have 30 minutes to build a creation of your own design. Prizes will be awarded. Registration is required.

"Chicken Run" Odyssey, July 25, 2 -3:30 p.m.

Cartooning Odyssey, August 1, 2 p.m.

Construction Odyssey

This six-week storytime will feature out-of-this-world stories, finger-plays and songs for 3-5 year olds! No registration is required!

Make-It-&-Take-It Odyssey!, Thursdays, June 14 - August 2, 2:30 - 4 p.m.

We'll supply the materials if you supply the imagination every Thursday! Drop-in and check out a new Odyssey each week. Kids of all ages are invited! (Note: preschoolers may need the helping hands of an adult!)

Whether you visit the library morning, noon or night, check out the Imagination Odyssey area where you can do a coloring sheet, participate in an activity, try on a costume, or play with a new puppet. Themes change weekly. Meet our resident alien "Owers" who likes to eat time. The more time you spend reading, the more Owers gets to eat. Each time you report your summer reading hours - you'll get to feed Owers!

If more kids join the summer reading club this year than last year, Miss Amy and Miss Linda will walk the Moonwalk. What's a Moonwalk you ask? It's a celestial obstacle course that ends with the librarians getting a Moon-pie in the face! So, encourage a friend to join the Summer Reading Club and join us for the final odyssey of the summer. We'll provide refreshments, fun and frolic!
