A Toledo man died Sunday, three hours after his pickup crashed into a fence and then veered across five lanes of traffic at 324 West Laskey Rd., police said.

Kenneth Dusseau, 42, of the 5300 block of Lewis Avenue, was pronounced dead in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center about 7:12 p.m. Sunday.

The accident occurred about 4:13 p.m., police said.

Mr. Dusseau was westbound on Laskey when his truck went off the right side of the road, hit a fence, went across the road, jumped a curb, went through a ditch, and stopped on Norfolk-Southern railroad tracks, police said.

Police Sgt. Paul Kerschbaum said it appears as though Mr. Dusseau passed out before the accident. Authorities do not know if Mr. Dusseau suffered a physical ailment, the sergeant said. The accident is under investigation.
