African Safari Odyssey, June 14, 2 p.m.

Area resident Cathy Beening will share her adventures in Africa tracking mountain gorillas.

Celestial Odyssey, June 28, 2 p.m.

Learn about the constellations in the night sky, and make your own astrolabe.

Internet Odyssey, July 5, 2 p.m.

We'll investigate Odin's Castle of Dreams and Legends online. You must have a Youth Internet Card to participate.

Outdoor Odyssey, July 12, 2 p.m.

We'll play outdoor games like Frisbee and croquet. In case of rain, we'll play board games inside.

Magnificent Mosaics Odyssey, June 13, 3:30 p.m.

This ancient art form from Greece and Israel has once again become popular. The sky's the limit as we create gorgeous stone, bead, or paper mosaics to take home.

Juggling Odyssey, June 20, 3:30 p.m.

Watch an action-packed performance and then learn the basics from a

professional. Juggling materials provided for practice; bring your own tennis balls and scarves if you wish.

Animal Odyssey: Puppy Love! June 27, 3:30 p.m.

Snuggle up with a homeless friend from the Humane Society. Learn about responsible pet ownership and cruelty prevention. Feel free to bring in donations of dog toys, old towels, pet food, etc. to brighten the lives of many animals.

Patriotic Odyssey, July 2 - 7

Celebrate the Fourth of July with patriotic puzzles, mazes, and crafts. These fun projects will be available all week long to take home and enjoy.

Wacky Olympics Odyssey, July 11, 3:30 p.m.

Let your creativity spill onto the sidewalk and let the world see what you can "chalk" up. Photographic evidence of your masterpieces will be preserved with the help of the modern technological device: the disposable camera. Photo collages will be displayed at Sanger throughout the summer.

Bring your own flowerpot and decorative stone; take home a patio planter. This program will be held at Southview Horticultural Center. Meet at the tennis courts. Open to kids in third through eighth grade. You must register for this program only beginning June 4.

Stop by to make and decorate 3-D shapes that we'll hang from our odyssey mobiles. We will have all of the supplies available for you.

a couple of sheets of paper and the instructions. Bring it back next week and

"Whatever you do, don't open them." What could it hurt if Annie takes just one teeny peek? Join us as our teen book group talks about The Boxes by William Sleator. We'll have a snack while we compare our ideas.

Show us your creation! We'll have a dessert-making contest. We all are the cooks and the judges and then we will make our own ice cream. Bring in your favorite dessert to share and we will supply the ice cream fixings.

Our Summer SurPrize Odyssey, July 30, 2 p.m.

Join us at a party full of prizes and surprises. We'll watch the movie, "Chicken Run", a G-rated film about English chickens who fear they will become pies so they plan an escape. We'll also have super, surprise sundaes, and something to sip.

Wear your sneakers to run wacky races with feathers, books, bubbles, and eggs. We'll be indoors if it's rainy. Enjoy refreshments and prizes.

Biking Odyssey, June 13, 2:30 p.m.

Learn about bike safety and proper equipment for your biking adventures from a representative from a local bike shop.

Games Odyssey, June 20, 2:30 p.m.

If the weather is good, we'll play Frisbee, tag, and catch outside. If the weather is bad, we'll play board games and cards inside.

An Icy Odyssey, June 27, 2:30 p.m.

Mmmmmm! Everybody loves ice cream. Make your own and then top it with your favorite topping. Puzzles and games are provided. A ticket is required.

Marvelous Puzzle Mosaic Odyssey, July 2 - 7

Pick up a bag with your portion of the mosaic. After you add your personal touch, we'll put the picture together and see what we get!

We will have available to take home some cool crafts that really fly. Try your luck at an all library airplane race and snacks with other participants.

Galaxy Quest: A Fantasy Spoof, July 11, 2 p.m.

Won't you join us for popcorn and the movie Galaxy Quest? A spoof inspired by Star Trek and its fans, starring Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver. This PG-rated movie is 102 minutes in length.

Weather permitting, we will play frisbee baseball or golf. If it is raining, bring your favorite board game for game day Waterville style. Plan on closing with time for snacks.
