B.G. firm given tax abatement

BOWLING GREEN - Wood County commissioners yesterday approved a 10-year, 100 percent tax abatement for a Bowling Green company planning a $10.2 million expansion.

Tochigi Fuji American Manufacturing, which does machining and assembly work for the automotive industry, plans to add three new machining lines. The expansion will require the addition of 17 employees at the plant that employs 29.

The company is building a 40,000-square-foot addition to its plant in the WoodBridge business park off Dunbridge Road.

As part of the tax abatement agreement, Tochigi Fuji will to pay an estimated $525,957 to the Bowling Green city schools over the next 10 years and $23,862 to Penta Career Center.
