Two men were killed yesterday in separate motorcycle accidents, including a Michigan man who reportedly was drag racing on Hoffman Road, authorities said.

Zachary Wright, 24, of South Rockwood, Mich., died at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Diane Barnett, deputy Lucas County coroner, said Mr. Wright apparently was drag racing about 3:50 p.m. when he lost control and was thrown several hundred feet and hit a parked car.

Police said Mr. Wright was racing a motorcycle in the 3900 block of Hoffman when he lost control, fell off the motorcycle, and rolled into a parked car. The car, a white Ford Tempo, fled the scene. Mr. Wright died at 6:21 p.m. No other information was available.

David Teet, 27, of 334 Spring Grove Ave., died at 3:22 p.m. at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. According to police, Mr. Teet was riding south on East Broadway at what appeared to be a high rate of speed when a northbound motorist, James Mauder, 63, of Emerson Street, turned and collided with the motorcyclist while turning in to a carryout in the 1200 block of East Broadway. The accident, which occurred at 2:30 p.m., remains under investigation.
