Neighbor is charged in Delphos bank job

LIMA, Ohio - A man who lived just down the street from the North Cole Street branch of the Commercial Bank of Delphos was charged yesterday with robbing the bank.

Jeff Nichols, 41, of Lima, allegedly walked into the bank with a gun about 9:55 a.m. and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash but was apprehended by Allen County sheriff's deputies as he pulled into his home less than a half-mile away.

Mr. Nichols was charged with aggravated robbery.
