Groundbreaking ushers in new era for high-level bridge

Miss Kaptur said the cable-stayed bridge, which will allow I-280 traffic to cross the Maumee River without stopping for ships, will be a landmark for all of North America.

Other speakers yesterday included Governor Taft and Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner.
