Suit against insurance firm returned to Ottawa court

5/19/2001

Nello Bianchi sued Auto Owners Insurance Co. in 1998, arguing that he and his wife, Justine, deserved insurance coverage after an uninsured driver struck him in 1997.

The accident critically injured Mr. Bianchi as he was walking to township hall.

In his lawsuit, Mr. Bianchi claimed that he should be covered under the uninsured motorist provision of the township's automobile liability policy.

The Common Pleas Court ruled that he was not insured under the policy.
