3 injured in 1-vehicle accident on Ohio Turnpike

MILAN, Ohio - Three people were flown by helicopter to northern Ohio hospitals after a one-vehicle accident on the Ohio Turnpike in Erie County about three miles from here Saturday night.

Tatyana Prikazchikov, 42, of Frankfort, Ill., was driving a mini-van that drifted off the right side of the road. When she overcorrected, the van flipped over in a ditch and her two passengers were thrown out of the vehicle, according to a witness who spoke to the Ohio Highway Patrol. Ms. Prikazchikov was in satisfactory condition last night at Akron City Hospital.

A passenger Darina Vashenko, 22, also from Frankfort, was in fair condition yesterday at Medical College of Ohio Hospitals. In Toledo. Another passenger, Sergiy Tsvyk, 20, from the Ukraine, was in satisfactory condition last night at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital.

The accident in Margaretta Township, which occurred about 6:15 p.m., backed up traffic for a mile to a mile and a half, said Trooper Brian Hann of the patrol's Milan post.
