A man injured in a water-skiing accident Saturday night has been identified as James F. Niceley, 39, of Toledo.

Mr. Niceley was skiing on the Maumee River between the Maple Street dock in Perrysburg and the Ohio Turnpike bridge about 8:10 p.m. when he fell hard on the water.

He told family members who were in the boat that he could not move and had little feeling in his extremities, Perrysburg Township police said.

After spending 10 minutes in the water, he was flown by air ambulance to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, where he was in fair condition last night, according to a hospital spokesman.
