WAUSEON - A West Unity man was ruled competent to stand trial for an alleged attack on a Fayette woman in 1994.
Randy S. Langenderfer, 52, is charged with aggravated burglary, attempted rape, and two counts of burglary. The charges stem from a Dec. 4, 1994, incident in which Langenderfer allegedly attacked an elderly Fayette woman in her bed.
Langenderfer is serving a six-month sentence at the regional jail for assault and aggravated menacing. He was found guilty of attack|ing a woman Dec. 3 in a restroom in a Wal-Mart in Wauseon.
Judge James Barber ruled Langenderfer competent and continued the case until a trial date is set.
