Perrysburg receives grant to boost boating access

Perrysburg will receive a state grant of $22,500 to help improve boating access.

The money will be granted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the city's Hood Park Dock project, according to state Sen. Bob Latta (R., Bowling Green).

The project is to replace an existing dock and expand boating access.

The grant is one of 26 awarded across the state for boating improvements, at a cost of $2.5 million. The money is derived from a combination of boat registration fees and a portion of the state motor fuel tax, he said.
