2 cups bread cubes, crusts trimmed
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the bread cubes in a medium baking dish. Drizzle with the butter.
Combine the brown sugar, tomato puree and water in a saucepan and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Spoon over the bread cubes. Bake 50 minutes. Serve warm.
