Clinicians to test for depression at nationwide sites

10/11/2001

About 2,000 U.S. hospitals and mental health centers are sponsoring clinics today for National Depression Screening Day.

The annual event happens to fall this year on the one-month anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington. Because of the coincidence, mental health professionals are prepared to offer not only depression screenings but are prepared to assist those who may be suffering from a stress disorder.

No sites have been listed for Toledo. The nearest sites include Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, Maumee Valley Guidance Center in Defiance, and Westwood Behavioral Health Center in Van Wert.
