Man hurt, woman treated in car-minivan collision

GIBSONBURG - A Gibsonburg man was hurt yesterday when his car ran a stop sign south of here and collided with a minivan, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

David Magrum, 69, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where he was listed in serious condition. The second driver, Lois Adams, 74, of Manitou Beach, Mich., was treated in Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

Troopers in Fremont said Mr. Magrum was eastbound at 8:30 a.m. on Washington Township Road 55 when his car was struck by Ms. Adams' vehicle, which was northbound on Sandusky County Road 66. Mr. Magrum's car went off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.

The accident remains under investigation, authorities said.
