COLUMBUS - Two northwest Ohio residents and 18 others from around the state have been selected as members of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame's class of 2001.
Those to be inducted Nov. 8 at Veterans Memorial in Columbus by Gov. Bob Taft are:
Dr. Talmage, of Ottawa Hills, is medical director of the Center for Women's Health at Toledo and Flower hospitals. He is a former president of the Ohio State Medical Association and of the Academy of Medicine of Toledo and Lucas County. He is a member of the Reserve Officers Association.
Mr. Brady, of Van Wert, is a former president of Van Wert County Associated Charities, Inc., the downtown business association, and the county real estate board. He is a former chairman of Van Wert National Bank.
The veterans hall of fame, established in 1992, has 541 members, director Shannon Scherer said. A committee of veterans each year chooses 20 inductees from more than 100 nominations.
