ADAMhs board gives 2 agencies more money

11/10/2001

ARCHBOLD - The four-county ADAMhs board, which provides alcohol, drug, and mental health services, has increased its funding to two agencies because of an unanticipated surplus.

The ADAMhs board has given the New Home Development Co. an additional $20,000 to assist clients who are on a waiting list for housing assistance. New Home helps people recovering from mental illness find affordable housing.

Fresh Start Home, a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility in Alvordton, was given $10,000.

Both agencies had experienced funding cuts earlier.

The money came from unused allocations of Four County Family Center. The center was allocated $980,000, but determined it would not spend it all this year.
