FREMONT - A Flushing, N.Y., man who had been charged in a Ohio Turnpike crash that killed two people last year has died.

Sheldon Levinson, 54, died Nov. 2 of natural causes in a nursing home from multiple medical problems. His case in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court had been continued several times because he was too ill to travel to Ohio for trial.

Mr. Levinson had been indicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in the deaths of Robert J. Sarka, 48, of Brecksville, Ohio, and his daughter, Susan Sarka, 7. A total of nine vehicles were involved in the accident on July 5, 2000, including Mr. Levinson's motor home, which struck two cars, one of which was the Sarkas' vehicle.
