Ex-Sandusky post office is given landmark status

SANDUSKY - The city's old post office has been designated as an Ohio Historic Landmark through the Ohio Historical Society.

The building at West Washington and Jackson streets opened in 1927 as a post office and federal office building.

The Merry-Go-Round Museum took over the building in 1990. It is valued for its neo-classical architecture.
