LIMA, Ohio - Three Lima residents remained hospitalized yesterday following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday that sent one of the two vehicles into a nearby house.

Andrea Binion, 38, was listed in critical condition last night at St. Rita's Medical Center, where her passenger, Cara Campbell, 15, was listed in serious condition. The driver of a second vehicle, Joe Wireman, 43, was in serious condition at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Shortly before the noon crash, the Ohio Highway Patrol said a trooper had been chasing Mr. Wireman for a speeding offense, but officials said the pursuit ended as Mr. Wireman entered a residential area. Mr. Wireman, who was eastbound on Murphy Street, then ran a stop sign at North Main Street and his Ford Explorer collided with a northbound Chevy Blazer driven by Ms. Binion, troopers said.

The impact forced both vehicles onto property at 900 North Murphy St. Ms. Binion's vehicle struck the house, but no one was home at the time.
