FINDLAY -- A Findlay historian is developing 20 documentaries he hopes will be aired on the local cable-access channel and in area schools in conjunction with Ohio's bicentennial celebration in 2003.

Andrew Du Fresne said yesterday the documentaries, two to three minutes in length, will focus on significant events that have occurred in Findlay and Hancock County.

The initial topics include Dietsch Brothers candy factory, Jenera's German community, and the gas and oil boom in Findlay and Hancock County. Mr. Du Fresne said he hopes to have three or four documentaries completed by the end of December.
