How Do You See?

Dr. Mark Hankin, Associate Professor of Anatomy at Medical College of Ohio, will dissect a cow eye and show how diseases of the eye change how we see the world. Wise About Eyes, an exhibit all about eyes, will be in the second floor Gallery.
Children and adults will be able to discover how we see, learn new facts, and do some hands-on activities. Look for special programs about eyes and seeing in the Children's Library. Developed by the Dayton Society of Natural History, Prevent Blindness Ohio and the Ohio Department of Health's Save Our Sight Fund. Presented by COSI Toledo.

Grantsmanship Orientations

Our guest speaker will be Beverly Nathan, consultant for the local Grants Resource Center and an experienced grantwriter. Underground Railroad & the Quilting Experience
February 16, 2 - 5 p.m.
A lecture will be given by Euneda Liddell on the hidden signs and symbols intricately sewn into the quilts to help fugitive slaves to safety. An exhibition of quilts from local residents will feature traditional patchwork and applique quilts. A local gospel choir will provide music. Children will make paper quilts in the Children's Library program room.
