LIMA, Ohio - Allen County Common Pleas Judge Richard Warren yesterday agreed to allow defense attorneys for Jeronique Cunningham to hire an investigator, a defense psychologist, and a mitigation specialist to assist in the case.

The requests were among 28 motions Judge Warren ruled on for Cunningham, 29, who is charged in connection with the Jan. 3 shooting and robbery at an East Eureka Street apartment where two people were killed and six injured. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

Cunningham and Cleveland R. Jackson, 23, also of Lima, are charged with two counts of aggravated murder, six counts of attempted aggravated murder, and one count of aggravated robbery.
