FINDLAY - An Arcadia woman who played her late father's lottery numbers hit it lucky on what would have been his 79th birthday.

Melody Bowman won $100,000 in the Buckeye 5 game Friday. She filed her claim Monday at the Ohio Lottery's regional office in Toledo. After taxes, she will receive a one-time check for $69,500.

Ms. Bowman said her father, Myron Hill, died a year ago. Her mother gave her the tickets her father had played in the Super Lotto game since its inception. She dropped the number 23, the year her father was born, and used the rest of the numbers to play the Buckeye 5 game at the Pony Express Drive Thru in Findlay.
