The Ohio State Highway Patrol will begin a 12-hour combined DUI enforcement effort today with 30 Toledo area law enforcement agencies.

"Circle Toledo" is a program meant to increase public awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving, said Lt. Ray Martin, commander of the patrol's Toledo post.

Participating agencies are from Lucas, Wood, and Fulton counties, Michigan State Police, and the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.

The special enforcement will run from 6 p.m. today to 6 a.m. tomorrow.
