Toledo native to head assault center at UM

ANN ARBOR - A Toledo native has been named director of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center at the University of Michigan here.

Kelly Cichy, 44, is expected to join the center at the end of the summer. Since 1999 Ms. Cichy has served as executive director of the Women's Center, Inc., Carbondale, Ill., a nonprofit domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center.

Ms. Cichy is a 1976 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse.

The UM center was established in 1986 and offers support and educational services to students, staff, faculty, and their families for issues related to sexual assault, harassment, and stalking.
