BOWLING GREEN — Wood County commissioners have approved a seven-year, 100 percent tax abatement for a Michigan steel processing company that plans to install $2.6 million in equipment at its new Perrysburg Township plant.

Flat Rock Metal Processing LLC said it will install a second slitting line and a multi-blanking line at the steel processing facility at Cedar Business Center on State Rt. 795.

It is taking over the former Processing Technologies plant and plans to retain 18 employees and add 75 during the next three years.

Under the tax abatement agreement approved by commissioners, the company will pay Rossford schools $12,380 a year for seven years.

Penta Career Center will be paid a one-time amount of $3,500 by July 1, 2003.
