Crawford County head-on collision claims 2nd victim

BUCYRUS, Ohio — A second person has died following a head-on collision between two vehicles Saturday on State Rt. 4 in Crawford County.

David Miller, 39, of Columbus died about 2 a.m. yesterday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

An 11-year-old boy traveling in the other vehicle, Matthew Thomas Robinson of Port Clinton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:30 p.m. accident just north of State Rt. 19 and State Rt. 100, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Several other people involved in the accident remained hospitalized yesterday. Thomas Held, 76, of Hernando, Fla., who drove the car in which Matthew was riding, was in serious condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Passenger Richard Held, 74, of Carson, Calif., was in critical condition at the Ohio State University Medical Center. The other driver, Rossalie Schottenstein, 61, of Columbus, was in fair condition in the OSU Medical Center.
