B.G. will greet returning Guardsmen

BOWLING GREEN - Members of the Ohio Army National Guard returning after nearly a year away from home will be greeted at 5 p.m. today in the gymnasium at Bowling Green High School.

Local officials will be on hand to welcome the approximately 100 members of Bowling Green-based Company B of the 1st Battalion of the 148th Infantry Regiment. Most had been stationed at Fort Knox, Ky,. since October as part of the homeland defense mission dubbed Operation Noble Eagle. Also arriving home today are members of Company HHC, based in Lima, Ohio, and Company E from Urbana, Ohio. Both companies also were deployed in October.
