Toledo woman, 20, killed in 1-car crash

DELAWARE, Ohio — A 20-year-old Toledo woman died yesterday about an hour after she was hurt when her Jeep Wrangler failed to round a curve on State Rt. 315, struck several trees and a mailbox, and overturned about two miles south of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Jennifer L. Dixon, of 3008 Berdan Ave., the driver, was pronounced dead about 3:15 a.m. at Grady Memorial Hospital here, troopers at the patrol's Delaware post said.

Ms. Dixon was southbound on Route 315 in Delaware County, just south of Bean Oller Road, about 2:15 a.m. when she failed to round the curve and went off the roadway, troopers said.

Ms. Dixon, who was a student at Ohio Wesleyan University here, was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
