Lucas County Commissioner Harry Barlos has been elected first vice-president of the County Commissioners' Association of Ohio.
Mr. Barlos, who is the second vice-president this year, will assume his post in January. He was elected this week during meetings in Columbus.
The position is the second-highest leadership post in the association, which represents the legislative interests of the 88 county governments in Ohio.
Mr. Barlos also will serve as the chairman of the association's home-rule committee.
