Woman dies in crash on Airport at Eber Rd.

A Swanton woman was killed last night in a collision involving her minivan and a tanker truck on Airport Highway at Eber Road, troopers at the Toledo post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Bernadette J. Winhoven, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said she was westbound on Airport about 9:07 p.m. when her vehicle struck the rear of a westbound tanker truck as it slowed for a traffic signal at Eber.

Troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt. Airport was closed for about 11/2 hours to remove the vehicles.
