Port Clinton schools honor board member

PORT CLINTON — The Port Clinton City Schools honored Gary Ohm last week for attending his 400th consecutive Board of Education meeting.

Mr. Ohm, 60, has been to all the board's sessions since becoming a member in September, 1986.

At Tuesday's meeting, Superintendent Bart Anderson read a letter from the Ohio House of Representatives commending Mr. Ohm for his service. Board president David Belden presented Mr. Ohm with an en|graved gavel marking his 400th straight meeting and his nine years as board president, which ended this year.
