GOP women to meet, laud retired judge

FREMONT — State Rep. Jeff Wagner (R., Sycamore) will be the guest speaker at the annual banquet of the Sandusky County Republican Women's Association on March 27.

The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Fremont Country Club here. Local Republicans will honor former Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge Margaret Weaver. She retired last month after 18 years on the bench.

Mr. Wagner was elected in November to replace Rex Damschroder (R., Fremont), who retired because of term limits. Mr. Wagner is vice chairman of the House Energy and Environment Committee and serves on two other House panels: County and Township Government, and Agriculture and Natural Resources.
