5 people hurt in 2-car crash on Sandusky County road

FREMONT - Five people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision at Sandusky County roads 90 and 65 in Washington Township early yesterday morning, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said a car driven by Steven Miller, 17, of Fremont, was southbound on County Road 90 about 12:30 a.m. when he failed to stop and collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Eric Dray, 23, Fremont.

Mr. Dray and Mr. Miller were treated at Fremont Memorial Hospital.

Three passengers in Mr. Miller's vehicle also were hurt. Eric Suter, 18, of Fremont was taken to Fremont and transferred to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where he was in the intensive care unit. No condition was available.

Dustin Wilson, 17, of Helena, was flown by helicopter from the accident scene to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, Toledo, where he was in fair condition.

Andrew Fought, 17, of Helena, Ohio, was treated at Fremont Memorial.

Troopers said none of the five people were wearing seat belts, and all were thrown from the two vehicles. The accident remains under investigation.
