LIMA, Ohio — Negotiators for Lima City Schools and the teachers' union plan to return to the bargaining table next month to continue talks on a contract reopener.
The session, set for May 7, is a follow-up to preliminary talks that ended Thursday seeking to reopen a two-year contract to discuss wages and benefits.
The district faces a $3 million deficit beginning next year.
The contract between the board of education and the Lima Education Association expires June 30.
