BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green police are asking residents to beware of a man who is approaching residents' homes and asking for money.

Lt. Bradley Biller said yesterday his department had been called several times since March 6 with reports of a middle-aged man who has asked residents for money to pay for his vehicle to be unlocked. In some cases, the request is framed as a loan, and in others as charity.

The majority of the incidents have occurred in the southwest portion of the city.
