Columbus man faces charge in Lima sex sting

LIMA, Ohio — A Columbus-area man was arrested in Lima after traveling here to meet whom he thought was a 14-year-old child.

David Snow, 24, of Groveport, Ohio, was arrested Thursday by the Lima police after arriving at a rendezvous site.

Mr. Snow had initiated contact on an Ohio-based Internet chat room with a Lima police officer posing as a 14-year-old.

Mr. Snow allegedly told the officer online he wanted to come to Lima and meet for sex.

He was charged with importuning, a felony.

He was ar|raigned Friday in Lima Municipal Court and released on bond.
