BOWLING GREEN — The Great Lakes regional office of the Humane Society is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing 22 Canada geese and injuring two others in Mentor.

The geese were found scattered and apparently run over in the parking lot of Mill-Rose Co., where the birds have made their home, on Wednesday morning, the Humane Society said.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is investigating, but the Humane Society said it is offering a large reward in hopes of flushing out the person responsible for the act, Linda Reider, regional coordinator for the Humane Society, said.
