Penta Career Center to put levy on ballot

8/15/2003

The Penta Career Center, a vocational high school serving about 1,500 students in 16 northwest Ohio school districts, will ask voters in November to approve a 1-mill permanent improvement levy that will fund a new school building.

The continuing levy would raise $5.1 million a year, and would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $26 annually.

The center decided to put the levy on the ballot at a meeting Wednesday.

This would be the fist levy for the career center, on Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township, since 1981.

The new building will be on 144 acres in Perrysburg Township bounded by Buck, Bates, and Lime City roads and I-75.
