Holiday schedule

City, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed today in observance of Labor Day. Auto title offices will also be closed. However, the Toledo Police Department records office is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A list of select services follows:

Businesses

Banks, financial institutions, and banking centers will be closed except for Sky Bank's banking center in Westfield Shoppingtown Franklin Park, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Most shopping malls will have abbreviated hours. Southwyck Shopping Center and Woodville Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Franklin Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. North Towne Square Mall and Westgate Village Shopping Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Individual stores in the malls may have separate hours.

Mail service

There will be no mail delivery and no window services at the main post office or any of the classified stations or branches.

There will be no mail collection, and the bulk mail acceptance unit will be closed.

Express mail service will be available from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Schools

Public and parochial schools and colleges and universities will be closed and no classes held.

Public utilities

Toledo Edison office and phone service and Columbia Gas' phone center will be closed. Service will be available only for emergencies.

Libraries

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be closed.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday schedule.

Trash pickup

Trash pickup will be delayed one day all week in Toledo and outlying areas. Ottawa Hills trash pickup will be tomorrow and Wednesday.

Parking

Meter parking downtown will be free.
