A 13-year-old Monclova Township girl was killed and her sister was hurt critically in a two-vehicle crash yesterday in Swanton Township.

Killed was Kelsey Aldrich, a passenger in a car driven by her sister, Katie, 16, who was westbound on Monclova Road about 5:30 p.m. when she stopped at the stop sign at State Rt. 295, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

She pulled out, colliding with a Jeep driven by Yvonne Brandeberry, 37, who was southbound on Route 295. Traffic on Route 295 does not have a stop sign, troopers said.

Ms. Brandeberry, whose address was not available, was treated for minor injuries at St. Luke's Hospital. Katie Aldrich was listed in critical condition last night at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
