State arts grants heading to Lenawee, Monroe

ADRIAN - The Lenawee Symphony Orchestra Society and the River Raisin Arts Council in neighboring Monroe County are among the organizations that received funds from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Both local organizations received $9,000 grants.

Gov. Jennifer Granholm announced $11.4 million in arts and cultural funding collectively benefiting all the state's 83 counties.
